”World Overall Flying Disc Championships Return to Sweden for 2015”
The 1977 World Frisbee Championships took place at the 1977 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA in front of 50,000 football fans during the halftime show. It was a great moment in time, a true turning point for the popularity of flying disc sports. That was 38 years ago and the event continues to takes place today, nearly four decades later. It is now run by the World Flying Disc Federation(link is external) (WFDF) and has since been renamed to the World Overall Flying Disc Championships(link is external). but the format and spirit of the games have remained the same. Players from all over the world gather to compete in seven different disciplines of flying disc sports, all while celebrating their common bond, a love and passion for flying discs.
